Dharma Daily Privacy Policy

Dharma Daily is a Chrome new-tab extension offering Bhagavad Gita-inspired daily wisdom, optional tasks, a focus timer, breathing exercises, appearance settings, and an optional display name.
Information stored locally
- An optional display name.
- User-created tasks and their completion state. Tasks remain on the device until the user deletes them, clears the extension's local data, or uninstalls the extension.
- Focus-timer state and breathing preferences.
- Appearance, motion, notification, and volume preferences.
- Locally saved application selections.
Use, collection, and sharing
This information is used only to provide the extension's features and restore preferences. Dharma Daily does not transmit information to the developer or third parties and has no account system, analytics, advertising, tracking, cloud database, or remote code. The developer does not sell or share user information.
Dharma Daily's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Storage and deletion
Information is stored through chrome.storage.local on the user's device. Users can delete individual tasks from the task panel or remove all Dharma Daily information with the Clear local data control. Uninstalling the extension also removes its extension storage according to Chrome's behavior.
Permissions
- Storage: saves tasks, their completion state, the optional display name, settings, and timer state locally.
- Alarms: keeps a running focus timer accurate when a new tab is closed.
- Notifications: optionally displays a local notification when a focus or break timer ends.
Children's privacy
Dharma Daily is a general-audience productivity and reflection tool. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other user.
